Serving Community Roles with Caribbean Souls
The Southernmost Coconut Castaways enjoy music, sun and fun, but we also enjoy doing our part to serve community roles with our Caribbean souls. Volunteering is just one of the ways our members choose to give something back to their own communities. If we have posted photos of the event, you can click on them to see the entire album.
To find out where we'll be volunteering next, check out the calendar and join us for the fun!
Landshark & Ocean Conservancy Beach Clean up - club members and other volunteers showed up bright and early on a Saturday morning to clean Higgs Beach. Later, we all headed to Margaritaville Key West for a great show by Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 Band.
Mel Fisher Days - club members worked both the Rum Daddy's booth and the beer tent. Hard work, I know!
Keystock concert - we provided many of the volunteers to this all-day event with music by Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 Band, along with many other talented musicians.
We provided volunteers for the packet pick up of the Key West Half Marathon. Pickup was held upstairs at Dante's - what a great venue! Big thanks to all that were onhand. You did a great job and we were able to earn some funds for the club while volunteering.
Summer Jam - the club provided almost 30 volunteers for this event, benefitting Wesley House. We did everything from set up, parking attendants, buffet running, auction assistance, selling key lime pies & drink thermos cups, to helping tear down. Good job everyone!
Hemingway Days 5 K race - club members assisted with registration, silent auction, course support and so much more.
Botanical Gardens - a few club members assisted at the food & beverages area for the annual fundraiser
