The Key West Art & Historical Society will host a party for its members at the Key West Lighthouse & Keeper’s Quarters with a sunset happy hour on Wednesday, January 25th from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m at 938 Whitehead Street.  Enjoy live music with Brian Roberts and complimentary refreshments at one of the most beautiful settings in Key West. 

This historic landmark was first opened to the public in the 1970s and is one of the few lighthouses that is located inland.  Learn about the lives of those who kept the light burning and enjoy the beautiful grounds with fellow members and KWAHS staff. Walk the 88 steps to the top of the tower for a stunning view, enjoy the beautiful grounds and take advantage of your 20% member discount on merchandise in our Museum Store.

VOLUNTEER NEEDS ARE:

2:30pm- 3:30pm– Setup table and chairs

• 3-4 volunteers

3:30pm – 4:30pm

• 2 runners to pick up ice and food, vehicle needed

4:30pm – 7:30pm – Bar setup, bar tending and bar breakdown – some experience required, open bar. This shift can be split or fill the both time slots

• 2-3 volunteers from 4:30pm until 6:00pm – setup and bartend
• 2-3 volunteers from 6:00pm – 8:00pm – bartend and breakdown

5:00pm – 7:00pm

• 1-2 volunteers - Wine pull fundraiser attendant
• 1 volunteers to work with me at the Check-in table

5:30pm – 7:30pm

• 2 volunteers to work the food tables, replenishing and cleaning up
• 1 volunteer – walk around and check on trash and other things that come up

7:30 – 8:15pm

• 3-4 volunteers to breakdown tables and chairs and pick up

All volunteers will receive 4 guest passes to use at any our museums.
